Listen up, idiots. IF YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT YOUR PHONE EVERY FIVE MINUTES STAY TF HOME.

If you aren't a hyper attention deficit disorder sufferer, if you actually want to SEE and HEAR the movie you came to see, well, the Alamo is (mostly) the place for you.

They try. I wouldn't expect to have the best experience opening night of a big movie. Too many plebes come on those nights for them to keep up.

But, I was trying to watch something and this couple of nitwits down the row kept talking to each other.

Someone complained, and the manager talked to them. He was being really polite. He said "we have a complaint" and the guy said "he can go fuck himself."

Then he wasn't so nice. He said something like "no, here's what's going to happen. You're going to be quiet. If I get one more complaint, you're going to be asked to leave. And if you DON'T leave, four guys are going to come in here and carry you out."

He wasn't playing and those two philistines stfu.

Food is good. Service is generally very good.

Late last year, they were having some service and cleaning issues. But I'm glad to say they've pretty much resolved those issues.

I wanted to love this theater but I'm afraid that I won't be returning again. Below are some of my observations.

    1) the staff is really really nice.
    2) great beer and drink selection .

The two points above are the last loser of the experience.  The theater had a strange smell to it, but not too bad to the point that we couldn't watch the movie.

The worst part was The food.  The food was disgusting.  I ordered a burger that was so dry I thought I accidentally bit my napkin.  The loaded fries were also disgusting and tasted like they used cheap cheese.  Two other ppl I was with ordered the pizza and complained about how salty it was.

Overall it was not a great experience and I will not be back

    What a treat!
I've seen only a few movies here but I love the concept and it's executed perfectly. Hush up, eat delicious food, do yourself a favor and get an alcoholic milkshake (or at least a beer, and enjoy the show.
My tip: I've only seen scary movies here because with the no chit-chat rule - it's even more serious/scary because of how much you're paying attention - it really becomes more of an experience.
I saw 'A Quiet Place' (ironically), and 'Hereditary' here... probably the best choice I could've made theater-wise for those flicks.
I live further up in Westchester, but when I have time I'll make the trip again and again.

    We love Alamo.
    - Eat dinner during the movie!
    - Food menu has good variety.  Something for everyone.
    - Great beer selection.
    - Retro and fun previews
    - They do theme nights, pairing cocktails and meals with the movie theme.
    - No phones or talking.  Heaven.

This theater is my go-to ALWAYS. I drive about 45 minutes just to come here instead of driving a few minutes down the road to go to a local theater (I even have 4 gift certificates to see a movie at Bow Tie and I haven't used...they've been in my wallet for almost 2 years)! I love that Alamo is a no talk, no text, quiet zone. They really will kick you out if you're loud (unless you go during the kids time). I wish more theaters were like this! I also love the fact that they have special showings and marathons. We have done the National Lampoon and the Cornetto Trilogy marathons there and it's a blast! I also enjoy coming early to watch clips of past movies, commercials, interviews, etc. pertaining to the movie you're about to see.
I will say that service can be terrible at times but the staff are always accommodating and will fix the issue. Other times, service is great. Recently though, I feel like it's gone down hill. The past three visits, we have had issues with our orders.

Overall, Alamo is a great place with delicious food and drinks.
